No Resolutions No Forgiveness

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

I’m not making any resolutions for 2008.

Not a single one.

Why?

Because I’m too busy to not do something.

It sounds funny I know, but if you really want to move forward in 2008 its time to try something different than a resolution.

A resolution is defined as “the process of resolving something such as a problem or dispute.”

Problematic orientation is not how you want to begin something new, especially a New Year.

I don’t resolve problems I open the flow and create openings for that new energy to come in and take the place of the old pattern or energy.

Instead of fighting an old habit or pattern replace it with something else.

In truth this is the only way change can happen anyway but most of the time we don’t notice the transformation. We only see the absence of the thing that was troubling us.

Even if you quit something like smoking its not that you suddenly delete that portion of the day you just did something different.

It’s far easier to consciously replace that activity with something beneficial than it is to simply omit it.

Choosing something new and goals always work better than resolutions.

I suggest making 9 new goals this year. Using the internal Feng Shui I talked about in the blog here-> http://www.energymedicinefl.com/qigongblog/2007/11/internal-feng-shui.html

In addition to not making any resolutions in 2008 I’m not forgiving anyone including myself.

Why?

Because who am I to forgive anybody else?
When we truly forgive there is nothing, no insult, no trespass, no crime.

Instead we accept and deepen our own love.

Like they say in my hometown of  Detroit “it is what it is.”

Life is not a scorecard.

Life is a perpetual river of opportunities for you to open or be closed.

It is in acceptance of others and ourselves that we find a true renewal of energy.

In acceptance we find wisdom to change ourselves and grow.

So I encourage you all to accept what has been and set your sites on what will be.

The wise know the future because they make it happen.

Let’s make it happen in 2008!

Wishing you the best in the New Year,

Dr. Wu Dhi

Ho ho ho its Christmas Upside Down

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

This morning I got up early and practiced the Santa Claus Qi Gong. A very important exercise I will teach you in a moment but first let me reach into my mail bag and answer one of the questions I got this week.

I got a great email from one of my readers in Australia.

She writes:

HI Dr Wu Dhi!
In case you get to read reply emails I thought I'd ask the question - we're in Australia and are of course enjoying in our Summer Solstice - do you have any Summer Solstice Wisdom for us?

Thanks for your emails and newsletters.

Cheers

KK

Yes K,
My nephew helps me out with most of the correspondence but I do get the chance to read a few of my reply emails and I'm so glad I got yours.

Yes it's very important to be aware of the seasons not just the calendar and South of the Equator you experience the opposite season at the same time of year.

What's important is not the calendar, its being in tune with the seasons in your own environment.

That means if it's December in Australia you would be doing more of the summer practices and meditations.

So for those of you south of equator summer solstice is a great time for the holidays as well.

Below is excerpted from my annual Qi Gong program normally done in June:

"The summer solstice is a time to renew our energies and show gratitude for each other. The Summer Solstice brings us an opportunity to make a powerful shift in body/mind/spirit. Time is of the essence!"

Yes, summer solstice also fits for new beginnings and as a time of rejoicing the main difference in the summer season as opposed to the winter season is that in summer we want to expand our activity and act upon our plans were as in winter the journey is into ourselves were we make ready new plans.

In both seasons, summer and winter, we should all remember the very special sound that the jolly man from the north makes.

Ho ho ho!

In the system of Qi Gong that I teach "Ho" is the sound for healing the liver. This sound is an important part of the exercise The Old Man by the Sea. It's also the sound that will transform stress into kindness and generosity.

If you haven't been practicing the exercise the "Old Man by the Sea" now is an excellent time to start.

A daily Qi Gong exercise done every day in 2008 will make worlds of difference in the New Year.

Even if you don't have the Recharging Qi Gong program there's no excuse not to start doing Qi Gong daily. The Old Man by the Sea is a very powerful exercise I teach and share freely with every one I meet and you can download here -> http://energymedicineflorida.com/OldManbytheSea.pdf

In addition I am also sharing with you my Monthly newsletter here ->  http://energymedicineflorida.com/Dr.WusNews1.pdf

I wish all of you a Happy Christmas and Wonderful New Year,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: If you haven't seen it already be sure to check out http://qigonginnercircle.com and discover everything I have planed for you in the next year.

Last night I came home after sundown and the whole house was completely dark. Instead of turning on the lights I lit a candle. I never do this sort of thing but the house seemed so quiet and peaceful I wanted to just sit.

I spent the majority of the night in contemplative meditation.

We are in the Winter Solstice and it is an excellent time to take time to be quiet and reflect on the past year.

I recommend doing this for yourself as a matter of personal care.

With all the crazy energy around the holidays and year-end you want to make sure that you cool-out and recollect yourself before you burn-out.

Once you do I think you will find that the rush of the holidays and year-end quiets down and you can refocus on those things that are most important.

In Chinese medicine Winter is associated with the element Water.

Water energy has the attributes of:

  • Cold
  • Damp
  • Quiet
  • Stillness
  • Calmness
  • Smoothness
  • Listening
  • The Kidney organ and meridian

This energy is available in the atmosphere throughout the winter. Just slow down, sit quietly in a natural place and pull in the atmosphere.

Winter Water energy is also associated with a special type of Awareness that, from Chinese to English, best translates as “Alert Stillness”.

In the Chinese Medicine system we use animal associations to signify these types of energy, and as such, the animal for the water element and organ of the Kidney is the Deer.

250px-Red_deer.jpg

The Deer is chosen because it is a master of Alert Stillness.

When you think of a deer you think of an animal that is impossible to sneak up on. The slightest snap of a twig and the thing has disappeared.

This is not the same type of power of a Tiger or a Dragon but it is a type of power that completes us.

In the Ba Gua system of Martial Arts it takes a whole circle of animals to become a Master.

We cannot always Push, Push, Push, sometimes we need to sit, take inventory, and listen to the atmosphere. This is the power in the symbol of the deer and that is the power of this time of year.

So take advantage of this time of solstice when this energy is most powerful and abundant, you will not be able to tap into this energy so easily in other seasons.

Winter, not just the New Year, is the best time to set new plans and goals into action.

Take inventory of what is happening around you.

Upon deep consideration you may see more then before.

Clarity is not achieved when you are rushing or being hasty.

Opening is found in reflection.

Wishing you the best in Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

How to Harness the Power of Winter

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Earlier today I was at the post office mailing the last batch
of my free newsletter “Dr. Wu’s News” out when I realized I
should send it out to all my email subscribers too.

Here’s the link to the ebook version of the newsletter->
http://energymedicineflorida.com/Dr.WusNews1.pdf

Please feel free to print and distribute to all your friends.

This issue has several articles written just for this season to
stay healthy and stress free.

In this issue I have included:

  • How to fight the stresses of Holiday Travel
  • A recipe for a soup that will charge you up and fill your meridians with power
  • How to harness the power of winter months
  • How you can stimulate powerful acupuncture points in your body with heat
  • And a special offer included here for some special teachings I’m giving in 2008

In years past I have sent out a quarterly newsletter with
useful information for people interested in using the power of
Chinese Medicine in their daily lives.

The content was highly polished and good but not as good as I
wanted it to be.

In future months I will be sending out all new original content
mostly written by me.

I have chosen to give you more specialized information that you
cannot get anyplace else. When you see it I think you will
understand why.

This is just like when you come to see me for a treatment and
realize that this is not going to be the run-of-the-mill
acupuncture. With over thirty years of practice and study from
various schools I’ve been cooking up my own special brand of
medicine for a while now.

I have taken from the many great teachers and masters I have
studied with and you can feel that energy in one of my
treatments.

The same is true when I teach.

The things I teach you you’re not going to find anyplace else.

Take the Recharging Qi Gong for example.
http://rechargingqigong.com There are exercises in this program
that have their roots in ancient China, Tibet, and India as
well as some advanced Qi Gong usually reserved for Medical Qi
Gong practitioners.

You’re not going to find that on Amazon or on the shelf at
Borders, this is exclusive material.

In 2008 I will be sharing even more of this exclusive
information in a new format. Every Month I will be creating a
lesson on Qi Gong and Chinese Vitality secrets and sending them
to you on CD or DVD you just need to sign up by going to
http://qigonginnercircle.com .

This is the first time I’ve made such an offer to train people
so openly but it’s not going to last. Go to
http://qigonginnercircle.com and read all about what’s to come
in the future months.

This is Dr. Wu wishing you the best in Health, Wealth and
Happiness in this Holiday Season and New Year!

Lucky Star Birthday Giveaway

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Today is my Birthday December 12 but by the time this letter
gets out to you it will be the luckiest day the 13th .

The thirteenth is going to be lucky for two reasons:

There is going to be an awesome meteor shower, the best in
decades, so look for shooting stars tonight.

And I'm offering a special Birthday Giveaway video of exercise
and meditation.

As a last minute idea for something special to do on my
birthday I dug into the archives to pull out some previously
televised video of me that is almost thirty years old.

I had a good chuckle seeing myself thirty years younger and it
was good to see that I really hadn't aged that much in the last
few decades.

I had a 'Welcome Back Carter' moustache, a sweater vest with a
tie and I was still sporting my dark curly locks.

But guess what I was doing in this video.

You guessed it, teaching Qi Gong.

Way back in the eighties on late night Detroit public access
television I was giving away the secrets to mastering Qi Gong,
telling funny teaching stories, and guiding viewers through
meditations.

"This stuff is Solid Gold man" my nephew said. "We got to give
this out to your subscribers."

I only agreed after I had the chance to view all nine of these
half hour videos and checked them for the quality of the
content I was teaching way back then.

The teachings I was giving then are still great and hard to
find any place else even today.

I have agreed to compile a few of these clips to make an all
new video with some new footage added and offer it as a bonus
to anyone ordering the Recharging Qi Gong.

So here's what you'll get if you order the Recharging Qi Gong
between now and the New Year.

You'll get all the contents of the Original Recharging Qi Gong.

1. The Recharging Qi Gong manual
2. Recharging Qi Gong Instructional DVD
3. Recharging Qi Gong Practice DVD
4. 3 Internal Secrets of Qi Gong Audio CD
5. 10 Secrets to Seksual Vitality Audio CD
6. Compassion the Path to Mental Well-being Audio CD
7. The five elements of transformational power Audio CD
8. The Mini-course 'Using Stress as an Ally'

AND

9. Dr. Wu's Lucky Star Video

I will throw in a new compilation of some of the best of my
vintage footage teaching the great meditations I have learned
over the years for healing and relaxation.

There's so much content in these old videos that I'm going to
have to limit it to one hour of the best clips.

In less than one hour I'm going to teach you and entertain you
with physical exercise, internal exercise, meditation, jokes,
and stories from a time long long ago.

Here's how you get it:

Just order the Recharging Qi Gong between now and the New Year
by going to http://rechargingqigong.com and ordering. I will
automatically ship the Lucky Star Video with your order.

The only thing better than being born under a lucky star is
living a life were you feel lucky to be alive every day.

The thing that makes me feel like its my birthday every day is
practicing the Recharging Qi Gong alone or with friends on the
beach.

Wait no longer go to http://rechargingqigong.com today and
discover how to live more every day.

My birthday wish is for your Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: Below I've included some special info about the meteor
shower.

There is some excitement in the heavens for the next few days
it could be the best meteor display of the year that will reach
its peak on the night of Dec.13-14.

Here is what astronomers David Levy and Stephen Edberg have
written: "If you have not seen a mighty Geminid fireball arcing
gracefully across an expanse of sky, then you have not seen a
meteor."

The Geminids get their name from the constellation of Gemini,
the Twins, because the meteors appear to emanate from a spot in
the sky near the bright star Castor in Gemini.

The Geminid Meteors are usually the most satisfying of all the
annual showers. Studies of past find the "Gems" have a
reputation for being rich both in slow, bright, graceful
meteors and fireballs as well as faint meteors, with relatively
fewer objects of medium brightness.

They are of medium speed, encountering Earth at 22 miles per
second. They are bright and white.

Brew up some of your favorite tea and pull out the lawn chairs,
its going to be a great show tonight!

Real Qi Gong

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

This week 20 students from all around the world came to train
in Medical Qi Gong at the Doctoral level right in my back yard
of Miami Beach.

In speaking with my colleagues, many of them very skilled, one
good friend brought up a interesting point.

Not all Qi Gong is the same.

Just google "qigong" and take a look. There is a lot of flashy
young'ens out there teaching watered down exercises without any
real understanding, teachers, or lineage.

And when you study monkey-see monkey-do Qigong you can be
guaranteed to make a monkey out of yourself.

Any Qi Gong that you study should have solid roots back to
China and a tradition of healing.

I'm telling you this because I want you to understand that the
Qi Gong program that I teach and offer online has its
foundation, first and foremost, in Medical Qi Gong.

After 30 years of searching I know it's the best system.

You train with me and you can go through me and my teachers all
the way back to China today and I can set you on the track to
an internship and Doctorate in Qi Gong Medicine directly from
China.

That's a far cry from most of what's being mass marketed and
sold as "qigong".

For the last three days I have been training 8 hours of Qi Gong
every day and doing some of the hardest and most intense Qi
Gong workouts I have ever done or ever heard of anybody doing
and I only expect it to continue like this for several more
days.

This is a crazy amount of Qi Gong to practice unless you're a
healer or a fighter or both.

When you take anything to the extreme you really find out what
it's really about and it changes your knowledge of that thing
forever.

In the work that I do I'm not only healing myself and extending
my quality of life way beyond that of my peers.

I heal others.

And I heal others through direct treatment and prescriptive
exercises.

I am happy to say that my work and the Medical Qi Gong and the
prescriptive exercises I teach can never be over done - you
will only become stronger and stronger both energetically and
physically.

I have been preparing for this level of work for about a year
that's when I started organizing a Medical Qi Gong Doctoral
program with Professor Jerry Alan Johnson and Dr. Bernard Shannon

to be taught here in Miami Beach. (I consider both of
these men my Teacher and good friend)

The program is through the International Institute of Medical
Qi Gong the Overseas Collage of Medical Qi Gong Hunan
University of Traditional Medicine in China
, quite a mouth full
but the program thus far has been amazing.

Instead of being run down or tired from this program I am
completely charged up.

In fact, I am recharging myself on a cellular level.

I start the morning early by being the first one down on the
beach before the sun comes up doing the very same Recharging Qi
Gong exercises I teach in my program to get my energy moving
http://rechargingqigong.com

After my sunrise Recharging Qi Gong workout I am off to South
Beach for my Medical Qi Gong class with Dr. Bernard Shannon.

We begin with powerful workout of the yin set you will also
find it in the Recharging Qi Gong Program on page 85 of the
manual, we really worked the legs, that's where all the power
comes from.

We worked the legs like pumps squeezing the energy up the
spinal column and through the channels, this is the key to
super charging the Yin Set and all of the Qigong practices.

(And yes, in case you missed it, I give the real deal in my
program)

About every 3 months I will take a week off and train just like
I am going into battle every cell in my body gets renewed and I
become younger more vibrant and my seksual (spelled that way
for spam filters) energy gets a boost as well.

Whishing you the best in Health, Wealth and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: Look for "Dr. Wu's News" Newsletter in the mail it will be
coming out before the holidays and I will get one to all of you
if I have your mailing address.

PPS: If I don't have your mailing address, send it to me at drwudhi@energymedicine.com and I
will send you a free newsletter.

How Qi Gong feeds Feng Shui

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
I was walking around my property this week and pointed out to
one of my students the different ways I use Feng Shui and Qi
Gong in my home.

I told her I practice this because it brings a constant flow of
unlimited energy around me.

I live in South Florida on one of the barrier islands off the
Atlantic coast which means I always have flowing water around
me, a good sign that brings good health, wealth and happiness
into ones life.

On my property I have set up a few simple easy things to bring
more energy into my life.

I have placed a bird feeder on my front lawn and everyday I
wake up to the different sounds of green parrots, doves, and
blue jays swooping down for a bite.

The 40 foot bamboo tree at my front door sways in the wind and
the two black guard cats visit me throughout the day,
especially when they know its feeding time.

And at night, I often see possums finishing up the cat food as
they rattle the cans and knock over the water bowls.

The winter organic garden that I recently planted along the
side of my house is growing well, with the peppers already
flowering.

The back yard is loaded with banana, mango and papaya trees.

There under the big trees shaded from the hot sun, I host
private coaching sessions and spend hours doing the Recharging
Qi Gong exercises. http://rechargingqigong.com

I have also strategically placed wind chimes in the gardens.

The sounds of life and movement that surrounds my home brings
in a very soothing yin energy that keeps my house alive. It's
the nature of Feng Shui and Qi Gong.

Qi Gong is the Feng Shui for your insides.

When that inner harmony arrives it will move outward and become
the true expression of Feng Shui and your external Qi.

Wishing you the best in Health Wealth, and Happiness,

Dr. Wu Dhi

PS: I got a lot of responses from you guys on the newsletter,
if you didn't see it, send me your mailing address (as in post)
in an email and I will send you the new winter mailer. All new
articles written by me on Qi Gong, Chinese Medicine and much
much much more.
